Thank you for those who supported Frankie. It is with an heavy heart and many tears that I am closing this fundraiser. After multiple transfusions and fluid drawn off his lungs, he was unable to recover. He went peacefully with all of his family present and giving him his favorite treats. His sister Frannie was also there and cried when he took his final breath. He will forever be loved.
About this campaign
We adopted Frankie from St Francis in April of 2025. He quickly bonded with our family. We then adopted him a sister, Frannie, and they’ve been inseparable. Frankie loves to cuddle and suck a soft blanket to fall asleep. He enjoys food, treats, toys, and his family.
Frankie had an emergency blood transfusion due to severe anemia. He began steroids and antibiotics. The tests came back not revealing any answers. An autoimmune suppressant was added to his care. A few days later, he required another transfusion. This time, his heart almost failed so he needed fluid drained from his lungs. Frankie needs to have additional tests to find the root cause of his illness and receive proper care. I opened a charge account; however, I reached the maximum and need financial assistance. Without the funds, he will need to be euthanized. Frankie deserves to live.
Frankie was a rescue. He was over the moon when we adopted him! As you can see from his kitten photo, the day we brought him home he loved spending time snuggling. He loves sneaking bread, pizza, donuts, etc. and we have to hide all non cat food/treats! He has a huge personality, just loving, playful and protective. He is truly part of our family and we pray every day for healing.
I was on an extended medical leave earlier this year. My pay was significantly decreased. I am back to work but it is difficult to catch up financially. I have maxed out all charge accounts and willing to keep doing all that is necessary for Frankie. He deserves quality care.

🚨 FRANKIE IS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE — WE NEED HELP NOW 🚨
Frankie is so much more than a cat to us. He is our family. ❤️ Now, we are desperately fighting to keep him alive.
Frankie developed severe, life-threatening anemia and needed an emergency blood transfusion. Then, only days later, Frankie became critically ill again and needed a second blood transfusion.
This time, his heart was under such tremendous stress that it almost failed. He developed fluid in his lungs and needed the fluid drained. We watched the cat we love fight for his life while the veterinary team worked desperately to stabilize him.
And we still don’t know what is causing this.
Frankie needs additional diagnostic testing to find the underlying cause of his illness. Without those answers, his veterinarians cannot know exactly what they are fighting or how best to treat him. He needs that care now.
We now have already spent approximately $7,000 trying to save Frankie. We opened a veterinary charge account and have completely maxed it out. We have also maxed out our credit cards. We have done everything we possibly can financially, and we are willing to keep doing everything necessary for Frankie—but we have reached a point where we simply cannot continue without help.
We never imagined that we would find ourselves in this position, having to ask strangers for help to save a member of our family.
But we are asking now, because Frankie’s life is hanging in the balance.
💔 Without financial assistance, we may be faced with the unthinkable: having to euthanize Frankie because we cannot afford the additional diagnostics and treatment he needs.
We are not ready to say goodbye. Frankie isn’t ready to go.
He was a rescue who found his family. He has a sister who loves him. He has a home, a family who adores him, and so much more life left to live.
We are begging for help to give him that chance.
