About this campaign

Gigi is goofy and lovable. She was rescued in October of 2024. Very sick with intestinal issues. Took 9 months to get her straight. Gigi has been very healthy since then except for an ear infection. She exudes joy and is so very happy.

Vivi was left at my home by a backyard breeder. I wasn’t expecting to get a 3rd dog but she has been with us for a year now. She is more quiet and reserved. Most likely from spending her life in a crate 24/7 except for potty breaks and random occasional play time. She is a happy girl who adores lying outside in the sun on her doggy bed. They both are Velcro dogs and have to be with someone all the time. Vivi and Gigi are best buds. Gigi is Vivi’s protector and bodyguard.

On 8/27/26 @ 3 am the little monsters managed to get into the trash.(1st time ever !) I had 4 ears of corn on the cob in the trash and I found Vivi standing in the middle all the trash. Gigi had run outside with the spoils from her trash excavation via the doggy door. She was caught red handed(in her case yellow mouthed) with a corncob clenched in her mouth. Later that day when I got home from work I saw vomit with giant pieces of cob in it. Had to rush them both to the vet. Utasounds and X-rays completed. First thing this morning off to the vet. Nothing moved noted in repeat X-rays. Off to endoscopy to retrieve all the cobs. Unfortunately at this time both Gigi and Vivi are in emergency surgery due to the fact they also ate the husks which are blocking the pylorus.

These little monsters are my world and my sole happiness right now. We can’t live without each other. I love them so very much. My daughter claims I love them more than her which of course isn’t true but close.

Over the last 2 years it has been one thing after another. Cancer, IMHA, pneumonia, BOAS surgery and osteomyelitis surgery plus so much more. I have spent over $100,000 in vet bills. I have taken money from my Roth, depleted my savings and maxed out credit cards. I have 24 plans currently in care credit, had 6 in Cherry and 1 in scratch. My other dog needs multiple colonoscopies to reduce strictures and that is expected to be $20,000. So this week expenses over $40,000($20,000 to be paid in next 2 weeks)

Updates

It is going to be a long haul. They both just came home. Gigi’s stomach had completely stopped working and now her spleen is enlarged. Her stomach is very red and irritated inside.

Vivi’s report is very similar except her heartbeat dropped very low during surgery.

Both are now on 9 medications each to help the stomach recover including 2 antibiotics each. Thank you for any help you can give in these trying times.

    God bless you !
