Help Gracee get Knee Surgery — Sykesville, MD

Gracee is a 6 year old Havanese that I ended up rescuing from an elderly couple who were not able to care for her anymore. She was 6 months old at the time. She is my and my 14 year old daughter's best friend. She is an always staring outside watching guard to protect us and she is always so loving. She is always sweet unless she has a bone in her mouth : )

Gracee was just diagnosed with needing a right hind knee surgery at the Maryland Veterinary Surgical Services office. Unfortunately this is going to be her second knee surgery as she had surgery on the other knee 2 years ago. Apparently this is a common issue with Havanese. Graceee is walking with one leg up and desperately needs this surgery in order to properly walk.

Gracee is our rock. She helps to protect me as a single mom and my 14 year old daughter is home alone a lot and feels safer with Gracee there. We feel that she is special since her prior owners couldn't care for her and it was an adjustment for her at the beginning when we adopted her. Since then, Gracee is the light of our lives and we want her to be happy and healthy again.

I am a single mom working 3 part time jobs and barely making ends meet. A friend of mine paid for the prior surgery and I am still paying him back. I have no other means to get this surgery done and will have no choice but to either give Gracee up or put her down : (
