About this campaign

Honey’s Story 🐾❤️

Honey is a rescue dog who came into my life only about six months ago. I don’t know everything about her life before she came to me, but I do know that she came from a terrible situation where she wasn’t getting the love, care, and safety she deserved.

The moment I met her, I knew she deserved a second chance. I brought her home and made her part of our family. In the short six months that I’ve had Honey, she has become so incredibly special to me.

Now, just when she finally has a safe and loving home, she is facing a serious medical battle. Honey has been diagnosed with genetic epilepsy and recently suffered a seizure that required an emergency veterinary visit. She has continued to experience tremors and weakness and has struggled with eating.

I may have only had Honey for six months, but I don't believe that means she is any less deserving of a chance. She finally found her home, and I want to do everything I can to make sure she gets to stay in it.

I’ve already spent $911 on her emergency care, and she needs continued veterinary treatment and monitoring. The additional care recommended by her veterinarians could cost approximately $10,000, which is more than I can manage on my own.

I’m asking for help because I want Honey to know what it feels like to be truly loved, cared for, and safe. She has already survived a difficult beginning. I just want to help her have the happy life she should have had all along. ❤️🐾

Any donation, no matter how small, means so much to us. And if you can't donate, sharing Honey's story could help us reach someone who can.

Thank you for giving this sweet rescue girl a chance. ❤️

❤️ Please Help Us Give Honey a Chance to Keep Fighting ❤️

My girl Honey is going through an incredibly frightening medical emergency, and I’m asking for help from anyone who is willing to donate or even simply share her story.

Honey has been diagnosed with genetic epilepsy, and recently she suffered a seizure that was serious enough that I rushed her to the emergency veterinarian. Since then, she has continued to struggle. She has experienced additional tremors/twitching, extreme weakness, and has had very little interest in eating. She has also had concerning dark, tarry stools, which has added even more worry to an already terrifying situation.

I have already paid $911 toward Honey’s veterinary care. Her veterinarians have told me that she needs continued monitoring and treatment, including ongoing supportive care such as fluids and calcium, and the cost of the recommended care has been estimated at approximately $10,000. Which I plan to have another conversation about that was 3 days of overnight care..

That is an overwhelming amount of money for me, but Honey is not just a pet. She is family. I’m doing everything I can to give her the opportunity to recover and get back to the life she deserves.

I never imagined I would have to ask strangers for help like this, but right now I’m putting my pride aside because Honey needs me to fight for her.

Any amount helps. Even $5, $10, or simply sharing this fundraiser could make a difference and help us get Honey the continued veterinary care she needs.

Please keep Honey in your thoughts and prayers, and if you’re able to help, thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🐾

Thank you to everyone who has already supported us, checked on Honey, shared her story, or simply cared about what she is going through. It means more than I can put into words.

Help Honey keep fighting. 🐾❤️

She is just pure joy to have around the house so feisty has so much life to live.

I'm already in the hole with the $900 that was pretty much all my savings that I keep for emergencies like this
