Help Jellybean get PRAA soft tissue surgery — Niles, MI

This is Jellybean! She is a beautiful and spunky kitten! She was given to me on August 26th, 2026 because of her condition. I had previously volunteered to help care for her and get her to appointments, but after her diagnosis, the previous owner decided to take care of her herself, then realized she couldn't do it 3 months later! I am determined to get her the care she needs ASAP!

She has a rare birth defect. A blood vessel near the heart formed on the wrong side creating a tight ring that squeezes the food pipe, making it hard for a her to swallow solid food. She is on a liquid pate diet. I have contacted 2 facilities. She has a consultation appointment scheduled at MSU, but they couldn't fit her in until November 4th, so I also am waiting on a call back from ASC in Flint.

She is the most beautiful, loving cat and deserves a chance at living a long and healthy life. She has gone from skittish and hiding, to cuddling and wanting attention in one week! I have to blend her food so there are absolutely no chunks, sit with her while she eats, and keep her elevated for 20 minutes to insure she doesn't regurgitate. i feel this has built an unbreakable bond between us!

MSU's estimate for surgery is $6,000-8,000 and ASC's estimate is $4,500-4,800. Since I don't know which one will take her on yet, I don't know what the actual cost will be, but either way, it is a very expensive surgery. I am determined to get it for her, but need assistance
