Help Koa get Labs and bloodwork — Pinellas Park, FL

Koa is a Doberman that we got her as a puppy three years ago, and from the start she showed a calm, gentle nature that surprised people who expect Dobermans to be all edge and energy. She’s the kind of dog who leans into you when you’re having a hard day, who stays close without needing to be told, who just knows. Loving isn’t something Koa does and it’s who she is.

She is still a baby and a family member to my 3 kids. Their parents are going through a divorce and they lean on her for snuggles and love.

her belly became swollen and extended, we rushed her to our vet. From there, we were sent straight to an emergency clinic for more care. we still don’t have a diagnosis. The vets said it could be sepsis, cancer, or something else entirely.
