Leo is my 7-year-old rescue Miniature Poodle mix and the absolute heart of our home. I rescued Leo back in 2019, and from day one, he has been my shadow, best friend, and constant source of joy. Leo was recently diagnosed with a localized rectal mass (carcinoma in situ). Thankfully, his pathology report showed no vascular invasion, and his internal organs are completely healthy. His veterinary team at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin, TX feels that surgical removal gives him a fantastic chance at a full, cancer-free life. He has a consult and surgery scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026.
