About this campaign

Leo is our one-year-old Bengal who originally came to us from a local shelter. He quickly became part of our family alongside our children and two other cats. He is curious, energetic and incredibly social—the kind of cat who always wants to know what everyone in the house is doing.

Leo accidentally got outside and suffered a severe injury to his right hind leg. X-rays revealed a completely displaced femur fracture. Because he is young and healthy, his veterinary team believes they can save his leg with a pin-and-wire surgical repair rather than amputating it.

Leo has been part of our family since we brought him home from the shelter, and our kids have grown especially attached to him. He is young, playful and full of personality. After everything he has been through, we want to give him the best chance to heal, keep his leg and get back to being Leo.

We have already spent about $1,000 on Leo's emergency exam, X-rays and medications, with surgery adding another $1,600. Our family also has significant ongoing medical expenses for one of our children, so we're asking for help covering this unexpected veterinary care.
