About this campaign

Lily, originally named Forest because she was thought to be a he, was rescued from the euthanasia list at Harris County, but her fight for a second chance is far from over.

When Lily was saved by CAMO Rescue, she was incredibly shut down and scared. She is also heartworm positive and now faces another serious battle: pneumonia. Her condition became so concerning that she had to be rushed to the vet for urgent antibiotics and fluids.

Lily has already been through so much, but she deserves the chance to finally know what it feels like to be safe, healthy, and loved.

Please consider donating to help cover Lily’s urgent veterinary care and the treatment she will need moving forward. Every donation, no matter the amount, can help give this sweet girl the second chance she was rescued for.

    🐾 Forest Lily Update ❤️

Forest Lily is still a very shy girl, and considering everything she has been through in her young life, it’s completely understandable. She is slowly learning that she is safe and surrounded by people who want nothing more than to love and care for her.

Forest Lily has now been spayed, but sadly, her surgery revealed something we weren’t expecting. While she was under anesthesia, the veterinarian confirmed that she had been pregnant, and tragically, her puppies had already passed away inside of her.

As heartbreaking as this discovery was, we are incredibly thankful Forest Lily was rescued when she was. Without veterinary care and her spay surgery, she could have developed a serious infection and potentially life-threatening sepsis.

This sweet girl has endured more than any young dog should have to, but now she finally has the opportunity to heal—both physically and emotionally. She is safe, getting stronger, and learning that people can be kind. ❤️

And now, Forest Lily is ready to find her forever home! 🏡🐾 She will need a patient, loving family who understands that it may take her a little time to come out of her shell. She deserves a home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and secure for the rest of her life.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Forest Lily and helped make her rescue and medical care possible. Now it’s time for this precious girl to find the happy ending she deserves. ❤️
