About this campaign
Lucky entered my life through a stroke of fate. A good friend rescued him and asked me to dog-sit the next day, and we have been inseparable ever since. Lucky is a joyful, energetic companion who recently became a father for the first time. He loves playing catch and jumping to catch a ball. He has been a vital source of comfort and mental health support for me, and an irreplaceable friend.
-Your dog was diagnosed with a grade 3/4 medial patellar luxation. A grade 3/4 MPL is considered severe, meaning the kneecap spends most or all of its time outside of its normal position. This can cause limping, discomfort, an abnormal gait, and progressive arthritis within the knee. Because of the severity of the luxation, surgical correction is recommended at the earliest convenient opportunity.
I am a sexual, physical, and mental abuse survivor. Lucky has helped me pull myself out of my depression and has made me want to live and enjoy life again. Not a day goes by that I don't look at him and smile and tell him how much I love him. He truly saved my life, and that is why I named him Lucky, my "Lucky Star"!
I live in low-income housing, and in fact, my housing is paid for for life by the City of Portland. I have been a victim of sexual, physical, and mental abuse since I was a young girl. I have a little money saved that I can contribute, but I am on a limited income.

So the campaign is very slow-going. I have set up several different ones, and it just doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere. I know I may be biased, seeing as I want it to happen yesterday, I hate seeing him in pain and not being able to play like he used to. My brother and I are going to go to some churches and see if they will help us.
