Meet Lulu, an adorable 8-year-old Indian Hound mix from Florida who has been diagnosed with a tooth root abscess. Lulu needs surgery. Her surgery—costs approximately $1,101.84.

“Lulu is an 8 year old Indian Hound Mix. 

About a month ago she started experiencing a huge swollen lump under her eye, between her eye and her mouth. She could not eat properly and wasn’t eating much. The diagnosis was an infection in one or more teeth. The vet put her on antibiotics for 10 days until the cleaning and removal of infected teeth can be done on 11/18. The treatment will be a thorough cleaning of her teeth with extraction of any damaged teeth.

Lulu came into my life after my 11 year old shin-tzu passed away. I went to India for a wedding of a friend and I used to see during the time in the hotel a pack of 5 street dogs that I would feed every day. One day I saw the smallest dog (she was 6 months old) of the pack with a fracture on her back paw probably done by a rickshaw. I took her to the vet and she stayed with me recuperating in the hotel for the rest of the week. By the end of the week one of her pack sisters stayed with a friend in India because she was unable to travel and the other 3 male siblings traveled with me and Lulu back to the US where 2 new families were waiting to adopt all 3 siblings. Lulu stayed with me.

Lulu means to me healing and growth, a special companion for life.
