About this campaign

Luna is our 9-month-old Pitbull mix who we instantly knew was meant to be ours. She was rescued in Yuba City, CA, one of our old hometowns, after being abandoned in a box with her 3 siblings at just 1-2 weeks old. We found her on Petfinder, drove to meet her, and brought her home March 7, 2026. She is our goofy, loving girl.

Luna has been vomiting and having abnormal, wet, greasy stool, and her veterinarian has not yet determined the cause. She is on medication and being closely monitored. If symptoms continue, she may need bloodwork, fecal/Giardia and Parvo testing, and 3-view abdominal X-rays at Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital in Carson City, NV.

Luna feels like she was meant to find us. She came from one of our old hometowns and, after surviving abandonment as a tiny puppy, somehow found her way into our lives. She is our goofy, loving girl who fills our home with joy. We love her deeply and want her to have the long, happy life she deserves.

I am unable to work due to my disability and live on a very limited fixed income. Luna’s initial visit was covered by her Petly Plan, and Shakespeare Animal Fund helped with $100 of her care, but $805.46 remains for potential diagnostics and treatment. We are asking for help so finances do not keep Luna from getting the care she needs.
