About this campaign
Imagine being a completely hairless cat, with nowhere safe to go, exposed to the scorching Miami sun and the dangers of the streets.
That was Lychee’s reality.
This beautiful Sphynx cat was found abandoned on the streets of Miami. She had no microchip, no collar, and no missing-pet posts could be found anywhere looking for her. She had clearly been someone’s pet, but somehow, she was left to fend for herself.
For a Sphynx cat, being outside is especially dangerous. Without a protective coat of fur, Lychee’s exposed skin was vulnerable to the intense Florida sun, as well as the countless other dangers that come with trying to survive outdoors.
And there was another concern: Lychee had never been spayed. Without knowing her history, there was no way to know what veterinary care she had received—or if she had received any at all. Thankfully, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in and gave Lychee the safe haven she desperately needed.
Before her spay surgery, Lychee needed a ProBNP heart test to make sure it was safe for her to undergo anesthesia. Sphynx cats can be prone to heart conditions, so this important screening was a necessary step in protecting her health.
Once she was cleared, Lychee received the comprehensive veterinary care she had been missing:
🐾 Spayed
💉 Vaccinated
📍 Microchipped
🧪 Tested for FIV and FeLV
🪱 Treated for fleas and parasites
❤️ Heart screening with ProBNP before surgery
Lychee now has something she didn't have when she was found: protection, medical care and people looking out for her. But rescue care comes at a cost, and Pumpkin’s Rescue Club needs help covering Lychee’s veterinary expenses.
Every test, surgery, vaccination and medication adds up, especially for a rescue committed to saying yes to animals who have been abandoned and left vulnerable.
Lychee should never have been left outside to fend for herself. But now, she has a second chance.
Please donate today to help Pumpkin’s Rescue Club cover Lychee’s medical care and give her the safe, healthy future she deserves.
And if you can't donate, sharing her story can make just as much of a difference.
From the hot Miami streets to the safety of rescue, Lychee's life is finally headed in the right direction.
