Help Mamas get Surgery

Mamas is my best friend. I've had her for the past 12 years since I was 16. Her personality is very silly, sweet, loving, funny, and well behaved! The chihuahua that was her mom was the dog I grew up with. It was my great grandmas dog. The Chihuahua had a litter and before my great grandma passed away she told everyone to make sure I got one of the puppies so that’s how I got my mamas.

She was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. She needs to have it surgically removed. She was diagnosed at cedar mill vet hospital and she is now being seen at Oregon Humane Society community hospital where we plan for the surgery to take place. X-rays and blood work is needed to make sure the cancer has not spread to her lungs and to determine if she is a good candidate for anaesthesia.

I have had her since I was 16, she was passed down from my great grandmas dog that I grew up with as well. She was pregnant when my great grandma was getting sick and my great grandma told the family to make sure I got one of the puppies. It is extremely important she recovers because she is not only my service pet for psychological reasons. I also don’t believe it is her time yet.

The cost of care is nearly 3,000 and unfortunately that is a huge chunk of payment. As of now I am 2 months behind on rent, going on 3 months and I’ve been struggling to catch up with my rent so having these vet bills on top is extremely overwhelming.
