About this campaign

Imagine this: A litter of 8, 2 month old stray puppies are in a rural shelter. You study their shelter photos. You arrange foster homes, gather supplies and coordinate transportation. Then you make them a promise:

You are safe now. You will never have to suffer in a shelter again.

For a few wonderful days, everything seems okay. The puppies play, cuddle and begin settling into their foster homes.

Then one stops eating. Another has bad poo's. Vomiting begins. You race to your vet to see what is wrong and the result makes your heart sink: Parvovirus. All 8 puppies require hospitalization.

Parvo is brutal. It attacks quickly, causing relentless vomiting, severe diarrhea, dehydration, weakness and pain. A playful puppy can become critically ill in a matter of hours. Treatment means urgent veterinary care, medications, fluids, constant monitoring—and no guarantee that every puppy will survive.

The toll is terribly hard on both the volunteers and the puppies fighting to survive. Gas prices make all this driving harder. Parvo can only be killed by bleach or special cleaners and can live in environments for a year.

So while our volunteers are giving everything they have emotionally and physically, the veterinary bills for eight parvo puppies continue to climb.

We made these puppies a promise when we brought them to safety. Now we need your help to keep it.

Please donate toward their lifesaving care. Whether you can give $5, $25, $100 or more, every donation helps provide the fluids, medications, testing and veterinary treatment these puppies desperately need.

If you cannot donate, please share. Every share can help this plea reach the person who can.

Eight tiny lives are depending on all of us.

Please help us give them the chance to grow up.
