About this campaign

Matilda is my tiny 13-pound Chinese Crested–Chihuahua mix, my psychiatric service dog, and honestly, this kid is my life. She has been by my side since she was a puppy, helping me through disability-related episodes and giving me comfort, purpose, and unconditional love every single day.

Matilda has a large, enlarging mass along her mammary chain. MedVet Columbus Surgery recommended a regional mastectomy with spay and biopsy/histopathology, with required pre-op bloodwork and optional screening. The mass has continued to grow, so I am working to get her treated as soon as safely possible.

Matilda is not “just a dog” to me—this kid is my life. She is my psychiatric service dog, my constant companion, and the little soul who has stayed beside me through some of my hardest days. She helps me feel safe and grounded, and I cannot imagine my life without her. Getting her well means everything to me.

I live on a limited disability income and cannot afford a veterinary bill this large on my own. I am pursuing lower-cost care and every assistance option I can find, but Matilda’s mass keeps growing. I’m asking for help so cost does not stand between her and the surgery she needs. Every donation or share brings us closer.
