Mila Was Abandoned on the Streets. Now She’s Fighting to Survive.

Mila’s story is heartbreaking. This little cat was found alone on the streets of Egypt by a Paws & Claws Animal Welfare volunteer, still with her IV catheter in place and in devastating condition.

Someone had clearly sought veterinary care for Mila, but when the cost of treatment became too much, she was abandoned rather than given the chance to recover. Sadly, this is a reality far too common for vulnerable animals in Egypt.

Her rescuer knew she couldn’t wait. Paws & Claws rushed Mila straight to the hospital, where she urgently needed medical attention for her severe injuries. Mila has already lost one eye, and it’s still uncertain whether veterinarians can save her remaining eye. She also has a fractured jaw, making her road to recovery even more challenging.

Mila has already endured so much, but she deserves a chance to heal.

She now needs intensive veterinary care to stabilize her condition, manage her injuries, and give her the best possible chance at recovery. Her treatment will take time, specialized attention, and resources that the rescue desperately needs help covering.
