About this campaign

Opie came to us by accident, one of our cats escaped and came back pregnant. Opie was born here, and then his mom was immediately spayed when she could be. So Opie has been here since the day he was born. He is the most loving cat i’ve ever come into contact with, he gets angry if you don’t continue petting him. He is genuinely the light of our house, with his personality and the love he gives.

Opie was attacked by 2 pit bulls 1 week ago. We were able to get his exploratory surgery and everything he needed to recover. but what we weren’t told was that Opies leg would go dead, and it would need emergency amputation. If Opie can’t get emergency amputation he will succumb to his injuries, which is my biggest nightmare.

Opies recovery matters because he deserves a chance to fight. I think the vets failed him by not amputating his leg sooner. He’s put up such a battle, he deserves the chance to fight more.

This was an absolute freak situation that never should’ve happened. He was attacked randomly by strangers dogs. We paid for his initial vet visit and surgery, but he needs more assistance to survive and live the life he deserves.
