Peter Parker Is Headed for a Brand New Day!

At Pacific Rim Rescue, we think our Petey definitely has some “spidey” sense going for him! ❤️

Peter Parker was already known to our rescue partners, who had helped his owner get him neutered just a few months ago. Sadly, his owner then passed away and he was left as a stray. As the devastating White Swan area fires were looming in Eastern Washington State, our rescue partners were out searching for animals who needed help and that's when they found Peter again, while unable to get him to safety as the fires progressed, were able to leave food and water for him.

After the fires abated our rescue team was able to locate and secure Peter! His injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle or suffering another significant impact. We drove to Yakima to bring him to safety and got him to our veterinarian that same day for treatment of his wounds and continued medical care. Peter has a noticeable dent in his skull, and we don't yet know the long term aspect of any potential brain injury.

What we do know is that this sweet boy is now comfortable and safe in a loving foster home, where he has quickly earned the title of the best and most chill dog ever, with wonderful house manners and is a couch cuddle champ.

As a large-breed mix, Peter may be the kind of dog some people overlook. But we think this boy is worth a second—and third—look! He is sweet, well-mannered, calm, and an all-around wonderful companion.

Peter has already been through more than any dog should have to endure. Now, we're determined to give him the care and support he needs to heal and the chance to find the loving future he deserves.
