About this campaign
At 11 years old, Petunia has already overcome life as a stray. After being rescued by D&A, she finally had the safety and care every senior dog deserves. But recently, something changed without warning.
Petunia suddenly began losing her balance, falling over, walking sideways, circling repeatedly, and tilting her head to the right. She was also drooling heavily and, even more concerning, stopped wanting to eat.
D&A immediately took Petunia to the vet to find out what was wrong. Her bloodwork came back normal, but unfortunately, that means there are still more questions than answers. Petunia is also being treated for an ear infection, and her veterinary team has discussed the possibility of a thyroid-related issue. If further testing doesn't provide answers, she may need a CT scan of her brain to investigate a possible neurological cause.
For a senior girl who seemed fine before these symptoms appeared, watching Petunia suddenly struggle to walk and eat has been frightening. D&A is committed to getting to the bottom of what is happening, but additional testing and veterinary care can quickly become expensive.
Petunia needs help taking the next steps toward a diagnosis and, hopefully, feeling like herself again. Please consider donating toward her veterinary care. Every contribution can help D&A continue searching for answers and give this sweet senior girl the care she needs.
