About this campaign

We rescued him from Palm Springs, California, where he was in an outdoor-only shelter and had suffered burnt paw pads. Since coming home, he has healed so much, regained his health, and now loves spending time in open fields, at lakes, and in the mountains with our senior pitbull.  Phantom is also a routine blood donor

I’m raising funds for Phantom, our rescued dog, after we learned he tore both of his CCLs, the canine version of the ACL. After what felt like a normal day at the park playing fetch after work, he suddenly became non-weight bearing on his back left leg. We took him in for X-rays, and the vet and orthopedic surgeon confirmed that both CCLs are torn. They are recommending two TPLO surgeries at the same time.

Bellingham Veterinary is doing the surgery with the assistance of an orthopedic surgeon.

Phantom is our 2nd rescue dog that is a big help to our senior dog in both helping him with his fear of small things such as cardboard but also his guard dog as our senior dog was attacked by a dog at a dog park and he is now apprehensive of all dogs. Phantom will also grow up with our daughter that we are expecting in February of 2027, and be her best friend and guard dog.

Phantom has already had 2 surgeries for dental work and this will now be a 3rd surgery, and our senior dog has had 3 surgeries one to include being attacked by a dog at a park. We are expecting a newborn girl in February.
