Help Priscilla Thrive After Escaping Euthanasia

Priscilla was abandoned on a Los Angeles sidewalk in a dog crate far too small for her. A compassionate person found her and brought her to a shelter, hoping she would finally be safe. But no one came for Priscilla, and she was placed on the euthanasia list.

That could have been the end of her story.

Instead, an entire team of people fought for her life. Her finder refused to give up. Shelter volunteers advocated tirelessly for her. Super B Foundation stepped in, and a foster said YES when Priscilla needed someone most. Together, they got her out just in time.

Now that Priscilla is safe, her rescuers are discovering that she needs some extra help. She struggles with resource guarding around food and toys with both people and other dogs. The stress, fear, confinement, and constant stimulation of a shelter environment can contribute to or intensify behavioral challenges like these, especially for dogs who have already experienced abandonment and uncertainty.

Priscilla has begun working with a professional trainer and the rescue hopes to enroll her in a 2 week board-and-train program where she can receive consistent, individualized support and learn the skills she needs to succeed in a foster and, ultimately, forever home.
