About this campaign

Raider is my 9-year-old rescue from the Bay Area. I brought him home when he was just 2 months old, and he has been part of my life ever since. While I traveled back and forth for school from 2021–2025, my mom helped care for him. He loves sunbathing, watching TV, cuddling, people-watching, and protecting our home from pesky critters like dust and a good night's sleep.

On 8/16, I rushed Raider to Huntsville Veterinary Specialists & Emergency at 5:30 a.m. after he began having trouble closing his mouth and I noticed blood on his paws. He was diagnosed with an abscessed upper-right premolar fractured at the root line. He needs a surgical extraction to remove the remaining root and infected tissue. A possible referral to a dental specialist in Birmingham if needed.

Raider has been with me through so many chapters of my life. He has brought so much joy to me, my siblings, and my friends, and he is the sweetest little boy. All he wants is to cuddle with you and sleep beside you. He is family, and I want to do everything I can to make sure he gets the care he needs and comes home safely.

I don’t have the funds available for Raider’s unexpected procedure. With my current bills, I have no savings for emergencies, and I was denied CareCredit and other credit-based assistance. I’m asking my community for help getting Raider the care he needs.
