About this campaign
Robin the Corgi Wonder came home to us at eight weeks old and has been our little sidekick ever since. Behind the classic corgitude is the sweetest social butterfly: he boofs for more pets, cries when strangers don’t say hi, loves car rides and treats, and proudly serves as our CEO of Blepping. Nearly 10 years later, Robin is still full of personality, love, and life.
In late August, an ultrasound found a mass in Robin’s gallbladder that his vet feared could be cancer. After a CT scan and surgical consult, his gallbladder removal was scheduled for October 7. But after an emergency endoscopy, his vets found an infection and feared he was becoming septic. His timeline suddenly changed, and VCA Carlsbad performed emergency gallbladder surgery on September 16.
Robin is our “second child” and has always been our baby. He grew up with his older brother Hawke, a Maine Coon/Ragdoll mix who practically taught him how to be a cat. Robin has been a constant source of comfort, laughter, and love through nearly a decade of our lives. He may not be human, but he is our son, and when he got sick, giving him every chance we could was never a question.
Robin’s emergency endoscopy, hospitalization, and surgery were successful, but his care has cost us nearly $20,000. We chose to get him care immediately and took on significant debt to do it. We’re asking our community to help lessen that burden while Robin recovers.
