About this campaign

Rocco is my 14-year-old Plott Hound and a much-loved member of my family. He has been my loyal companion for many years. Even as he has gotten older, Rocco has remained a gentle, loving dog who enjoys being close to me. Seeing him lose his mobility has been heartbreaking, and I want to give him every reasonable opportunity to remain comfortable and enjoy his senior years.

Rocco has progressively lost the use of both hind legs and can no longer stand or walk using them. He has also had episodes of excessive drooling, trembling or twitching, and changes in breathing. The cause is not yet known. He is scheduled for evaluation and diagnostic testing at Macon Road Veterinary Clinic in Columbus, Georgia.

Rocco has been my loyal companion for many years and is truly part of my family. At 14, he still wants to be near me and enjoy his life despite losing the use of his back legs. I want to give him the chance to be comfortable, regain whatever mobility may be possible, and enjoy the time he has with me.

I am a 66-year-old retired veteran living on a fixed disability income. I can contribute $50, and Animal SOS is helping with part of Rocco’s veterinary costs. I am asking for help with the remaining expenses so Rocco can receive the testing and care he needs.
