About this campaign
Rowan is a sweet, energetic, & curious lab. He loves to spend time with family walking, swimming, or snuggling. Rowan is our COVID baby—born in March 2020 & I picked him up in May after my teaching job went remote. He’s been my constant companion ever since. My husband is in the Navy & when he is deployed, Rowan is who I talk to the most. He comforts me, keeps me active, & makes me smile.
Rowan has B cell Lymphoma. He has begun chemotherapy at Ally Veterinary Specialty Center. The protocol comprises of 16 doses of chemo drugs across 25 weeks. Rowan has received three doses so far, his cells are responding well, and his prognosis is good. My husband’s submarine deployment does not allow communication, so without chemo, Rowan would pass before my husband found out Rowan is sick.
Rowan is a central part of our family. Because he joined the family during COVID, he got to spend months with my parents & siblings. He makes everyone smile with his pure enthusiasm for play, his antics on walks, & the way he loves to snuggle. Rowan is my loving companion when my husband is deployed & the perfect littlest spoon in bed when my husband is home. He shows us how to enjoy every moment.
The vet estimated that chemo will cost $17000-$22000 dollars. I can contribute some but need support. With chemo, Rowan’s dad will get to see him again & be there when it’s time to say goodbye. With treatment, we can end Rowan’s life with joy & family time.
