About this campaign
Hello friends. My name is Amy. I am trying to save my dog Rowen. She has a large mass in her abdomen. It is on her spleen, causing life-threatening danger if it is malignant or starts bleeding. I can't afford expensive testing like CAT scan, but we did x-rays and an ultrasound that show the mass clearly. I need to get surgery on her this next Friday, 16 October. I have already had to finance about $900 in vet bills and testing, and the surgery is estimated to be another $2200.
This is very time sensitive, and critical for her survival! If anyone is able to help in any way, I would greatly appreciate the help for her. I have had my own medical expenses, so I just can't afford this surgery on my own. She is a sweet, adorable, happy lab healer mix. Her buddies also love her very much! Thank you for any help you can offer! I need to save my baby!
My dog is facing a life-threatening mass on spleen. She has been feverish for the past few weeks. I took her in for two different vet visits. When we did the x-rays, the other day, the doctor found a mass on her spleen, and we confirmed with ultrasound that it is most likely connected to her spleen. The doctor is Dr. Johnson at Blue Ridge pet clinic in Lakeside Arizona. It is estimated to be between about $1600-$2200, depending on what they need with her. However, most fees besides a biopsy that could be up to $200 are necessary for her surgery and recovery. I’m guessing it will be closer to $2000, plus around $900. That have already been spent on vet visits and testing. We also did labs and urine, and ruled out valley fever.
She is the sweetest little baby! Although she is actually a larger dog, and not so much a baby, she is still just as vibrant as she was as a puppy, at 8 1/2 years old. Up until she started being sick the past few weeks, I started wondering when she would ever slow down. She has two good buddies that are close in age to her. Her best buddy is close in size to her, and only about six months different in age. Those two have been together since she was six weeks old, and I have a little Chihuahua that is a year older then my mail that is her buddy. We will all be devastated if we lose her!
I have had ongoing vertigo for months on end, all day, every day. I left the Phoenix area to go back to my home in the mountains, because I couldn’t afford to take care of us more with all of my bills in Phoenix, plus my Healthcare and pet care. I’ve also had recent vet bills for her buddy Brody, who started having seizures back in February. I have changed their diet and added supplements to try and improve health, now this has hit us. I also had to rip everything out of my old house and put in a new bathroom and flooring, because the place was totally trashed and filled with mold and mildew. We have just had so many things hit us in the past eight months! I just can’t keep up with the cost of everything, plus her surgery.
