About this campaign

Samantha is my 12-year-old cat whom I adopted from the ASPCA when she was just a 9-month-old kitten. For over a decade, she has been my steadfast companion and a sweet, devoted cuddle bug through thick and thin, offering endless unconditional love.

In December 2025, Samantha was diagnosed with feline diabetes. After being prescribed Bexacat and it failing to manage her diabetes, she developed life-threatening euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis (eDKA), anemia, and severe electrolyte imbalances. She required multiple intensive ICU stays and ongoing specialist care at Schwarzman AMC in NYC to stabilize her kidneys and safely regulate her insulin.

Samantha has been my absolute best friend and loyal anchor for most of my adult life. She is fighting with all her might to recover, and her resilience inspires me. Her safe, comfortable senior years matter completely to me because she has given me a lifetime of unwavering devotion, and I refuse to give up on her.

I prioritized Samantha's care at Schwarzman AMC, but I am left with $32,403.38 in Cherry loan debt. Tragically, I lost my job during this crisis. My savings are gone and credit is maxed. I have no way to pay this debt or afford her ongoing life-saving appointments.
