About this campaign

We went to APA planning to adopt a fluffy kitten, but Sayeh kept reaching his paw out and calling for us. We learned he was 4 months old and all his siblings had already been adopted, so we brought him home instead. He’s calm, goofy, vocal, loves chasing his toys, always answers when I call him, and even the other cats love cuddling with him.

Sayeh suddenly began vomiting and stopped eating. Bloodwork was reassuring, but X-rays raised concern for a possible obstruction or foreign body. A specialist did not see a definite blockage, so he received fluids and anti-nausea medication and is scheduled for an abdominal ultrasound to determine whether he needs further treatment or surgery.

Sayeh has been with me since he was a kitten and has such a gentle, relaxed personality. He always answers when I call him, makes biscuits on my lap with his huge paws, and is the cat the others feel comfortable cuddling with. The house just doesn’t feel the same when he isn’t himself, and I want to give him every chance to get better.

This came at a really difficult time financially. I’m already paying for a move and covered Sayeh’s emergency visit myself. I can’t afford the ultrasound and possible surgery on top of that without putting my move at risk, so I’m asking for help.
