About this campaign

Sherlock is about as close to a golden retriever in a cat as you can get. Not once in his life has he hissed or growled at single person, he's curious tot he point of stupidity, and is completely unaware of the space (large amount of space) he can take up. You can hear him purring from three blocks away, and he loves to open cabinets and walk away satisfied.

We woke up on a Sunday morning to find Sherlock unable to use his front right paw. The next day, we took him to a vet, where we discovered he broke his radial carpal. These kinds of fractures are extremely rare, and we have no idea how it happened. That leaves us with three options; joint fusion surgery (Arthrodesis), amputation, or euthanasia.

My wife got out first cat, Meeko, in July of 2017. I got jealous, and got Sherlock a few months later. I had cats as a kid, but never thought I'd be a cat dad. Sherlock has been with us through three moves, two states, and so many good memories. He has so much life left to live, and so much love to share.

I'm not giving up on my buddy, and euthanasia is off the table. Arthrodesis is the best option for him to live his full potential; that surgery is around $5,000. I want him to live the many years he has left is as little pain as possible.
