Help Smokey Binx get Left Leg Amputation and care — Clifton, NJ

Smokey wasn’t supposed to become part of our family. He was simply a tiny kitten who needed someone to help him. Our kids found Smokey with a horrific injury to his tail, and we brought him for emergency veterinary care, where we learned that his tail was so badly injured that it couldn’t be saved. Smokey underwent a tail amputation and began treatment for infection.

Smokey now needs a left-leg amputation.

The estimated cost of his surgery and veterinary care is approximately $3,900, and after everything we’ve already spent on his emergency care, tail amputation, medications and treatment, this is more than we can manage on our own.

And here’s the part that makes this so hard: Smokey is such a sweet boy.

Smokey is special because he chose us as much as we chose him. Our kids found him injured and refused to give up on him, and through his recovery, he became part of our family. Despite everything he’s endured, Smokey remains gentle, affectionate and trusting. We’ve grown incredibly attached to him, and we want to give this little fighter the safe, happy life he never had a chance to experience.
