Help Sosuke get internal medicine/echocardiogram and more — Greenville, SC

Sosuke is my sweet little baby monster. I mean monster because at 1 year old this September, he weighs 12.5 lbs. He’s my goofy boy. I adopted him and his littermate, Ponyo, after falling in love with them while fostering them. They were abandoned by their mother with 3 other littermates as tiny critters under 2 pounds.

He is currently receiving care at Upstate Vet. He needs an echocardiogram immediately and further blood testing beyond the basics (recommended internal medicine specifically for heart troubles). He’s losing weight, muscle loss in his legs, not eating and has developed a heart murmur. He has been combo tested and also ruled out any signs of gastrointestinal issues. X-rays showed no issues two weeks ago and basic blood work was also standard. He’s been to several vets for examinations

Sosuke’s sister Ponyo passed away in July after throwing a blood clot and unable to recover from a blood transfusion. We had to watch her go from being the greatest joy, to struggling to breathe right before being euthanized within a matter of days. I desperately do not want the same outcome for my baby boy. He’s so special to me because he has brought so much love into our home. He deserves a life longer than a year. He deserves a chance to not succumb to the same fate as his sister Ponyo. I don’t want to see another one of my babies lose their lives.

Since July I have spent 3k on Ponyo and Sosuke to seek treatment. I no longer have a savings and I am running on fumes. I unfortunately am also running into car issues at the same time. It’s my only means of transportation. I work in the animal care field and I donate plasma as much as I can to make ends meet. I just need some support
