About this campaign

Stitches is a mixed breed cat that was given to me as a birthday gift by my youngest son about 6 and 1/2 years ago. She was given for two reasons. First reason was to be a companion for my first cat patches so that she would not be lonely. The second reason my son wanted me to have another cat or another companion as I deal with an terminal incurable cancer. She the crazy one of us three.

For 2 heartbreaking days, I searched desperately for my little baby girl, Stitches, after she escaped from my home. When I finally found her, my joy quickly turned into heartbreak. She had been hit by a car and had suffered a very bad broken leg.

She's special because she brings life into the house. Always getting into things, always chasing her sister around the house getting on her nerve. Most importantly, it seems that she can always sense when I'm having a rough day with my cancer and she seems to follow me around and just nuzzle up with me until she realizes that I feel better. She's my little support baby.

The veterinarian says her care, including X-rays, surgery, and follow-up treatment, will cost approximately $5,500. I'm humbly asking for help to bring Patches and my baby home healthy again. Any donation, no matter how small, will help give Stitches the medical care needed.
