About this campaign

My name is Rodney Krimmel&I have had Stormy since she was a baby. A friends' dog had her and it was love at first sight. My daughter immediately saw Stormy&claimed her as her "sissy. Stormy is a spunky girl! She enjoys trying to chase cars. She insists she can take on any animal she sees on tv. She is a little dog with a big personality! She loves to chase you around while throwing her toys.

Stormy stopped eating and we took her to the vet. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis and diabetic ketoacidosis, which can be fatal. She was then sent to Urgent Pet Care of Papillion. She had low electrolytes and her blood glucose was 525. She was immediately started on antibiotics and an insulin drip. She was in the hospital for 2 days. Now she will be getting insulin shots twice a day for life.

Stormy has been in our lives since the day she was born. We immediately fell in love with her and she grew up along side my daughter, who was three when we added her to our family. The joy that she has brought to our lives cannot be expressed in words.

Stormy was in the hospital for 2 days. Alongside her ER stay, she will need insulin 2ce a day, along with regular glucose testing until her body adjusts. She will have to be put on a prescription diet. The cost of living has gone up so much, it's almost impossible.

Stormy is doing well with her insulin shots. She definitely is not a fan of her pill antibiotics! She needs to go back to vet at the end of the week to do a glucose curve. Our worry is that she might possibly have cushings disease which could have caused the DKA
