About this campaign
Tai is a 3-year-old tabby who was found in our apartment parking lot at just 3 weeks old. He’s been with us ever since. He’s sassy, goofy, playful, and always has FOMO—he hates being alone! He loves hunting, feather wands, tunnels, salmon, and singing in the hallway. His 9 p.m. bathroom concerts are a favorite, and he’s the best bug catcher!
Tai has severe gingivitis that has not responded to steroid injections, antibiotics, or anti-inflammatory medication. After visiting multiple veterinary clinics, we’ve been advised that full dental extractions are now the best option to relieve his ongoing pain and discomfort and help him eat comfortably. This procedure is necessary to improve his quality of life.
Tai is my kitty, my little opihi. He sticks to me whenever I’m home and waits for me to come home. I found him at just 3 weeks old, and he’s been my little shadow ever since. He brings so much love and joy into my life. It breaks my heart that I’m struggling financially to ease his pain. I just want to give him the comfort and quality of life he deserves.
Tai is an important member of my family. This year, I became a single-income household while supporting my father through a kidney transplant. With Hawaiʻi’s high cost of living Tai’s unexpected veterinary bill has become difficult to manage. Any assistance would help.
