Help Teres Take His Next Steps

Teres is only four years old, but right now, this sweet boy is facing an incredibly painful injury and needs help getting back on his feet.

Teres was brought to Vetcare Animal Hospital with a severe open fracture to his right back leg. The bone is completely broken, and because the injury is open, there is an added concern for infection. This isn't something that can heal properly on its own.

The veterinary team immediately began treating Teres with antibiotics to help protect him from infection and medication to manage his pain and inflammation. Bloodwork was also performed to make sure the team has the information they need to safely move forward with his care.

Now, Teres needs surgery.

The procedure will repair and stabilize his broken leg so it has the best possible chance to heal correctly. Without this treatment, Teres could be left struggling with ongoing pain and difficulty using his injured leg.

Baw Baw Animal Welfare wants to give him every chance to recover.
