About this campaign

Vanili is a 5-year-old tan mixed-breed girl, seven and a half pounds of sweetness. She survived the streets as a stray but never alone: she arrived at NYC's Animal Care Centers with Choco, her bonded companion. This week I adopted them together, because a bond like theirs is not something you separate.

At Park Slope Veterinary Center, Vanili was diagnosed with Grade IV periodontal disease the worst mouth of the pair. Her written estimate: $2,507.55, with ~5 tooth extractions expected (the clinic calls before extracting). Her dental comes first, then Choco's.

Vanili is gentle in the way small survivors are watchful, patient, always near her boy. She and Choco do everything together: arrived together, were adopted together, and will heal together. (Vet Wheels offer a lower cost for the procedures.)

ACC covered vaccines, spay/neuter, chips, vouchers, food. I've paid the rest but two Grade IV dentals exceed my fixed income. Goal $1000 funds Vanili's dental at Park Slope (written estimate $2,507.55 attached). Donations go directly to the VetWheels. Choco's campaign is live too.
