Help Vonda Heal From Her Painful Wounds

When Vonda arrived in the care of Baw Baw Animal Welfare, she was suffering from severe wounds across her chest and front leg.

Based on her history and the appearance of her injuries, the veterinary team believes Vonda’s wounds are burns. The damaged areas are extensive and painful, leaving her in need of careful wound management and continued veterinary attention as her body begins to heal.

Thankfully, there is one encouraging piece of news: Vonda’s bloodwork did not show any significant abnormalities. Despite the condition of her wounds, her body is holding strong.

Her veterinary team has begun treating the injured areas with appropriate medication and soothing wound care to protect her skin, prevent infection, and make her as comfortable as possible. Vonda was also found with a severe tick infestation, adding yet another challenge to her recovery. She has now received treatment to address that as well.

Healing from injuries like Vonda’s won’t happen overnight. Her wounds will need continued dressing, monitoring, and care to ensure they heal properly and complications don’t develop.

Vonda has made it somewhere safe. Now, she needs our help to keep moving forward.
