About this campaign
Wally came into my life in October 2019 and has rarely left my side since. He's been my road-trip partner, bedmate, walking buddy, and constant source of comfort. He loves pup cups, car rides and his daily walk. I could ever put into words what he means to me. He isn't just my dog, he's family, part of my heart, and one of the greatest gifts lever given me. Every day with him has been a blessing.
During a routine dental cleaning at Thrive Broadway, what I thought was an abscess led to the discovery of an oral tumor. A biopsy was performed, and we were referred to Heart of Texas Oral Surgery. On Friday, September 11th, Wally was diagnosed with oral melanoma, an aggressive cancer. Due to the tumor's location and progression, surgery is not an option. His cancer is terminal.
We have two more oncology appointments ahead, but our focus is no longer on a cure. Instead, it's on making every day count for Wally by keeping him comfortable, surrounded by love, and enjoying his favorite adventures, including a beach day and lots of Starbucks pup cups. ❤️
Like many pet parents, I'm doing everything I can for Wally, but the cost of his care and medications is overwhelming. If you're able to help, thank you for giving us the chance to focus on making his remaining time comfortable and full of love. ❤️
