Help Yodi get Yodi's IMHA emergency care and recovery — Napa, CA

Meet Yodi, he’s 9 years old and he has brought so much joy into our lives ever since the summer of 2017. From the very beginning, Yodi has been my mom’s and my best friend. He’s kept us company through both happy and challenging times. He’s been loyal and loving every day since.

Last month Yodi was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) A serious condition where the body’s own immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its own red blood cells. What began as a routine checkup in August quickly became an emergency. Within 24 hours, Yodi was confirmed severely anemic and needed urgent care. His red blood count was extremely low when he arrived at the ER.

For a long time, it had just been my mom and me living together, but once Yodi came into our lives, he brought the sunshine we needed into our home. His cheerful and playful energy lit up every space he visits. During this difficult time his bright spirit has kept him strong and radiating love to everyone around him. We're hopeful the treatment will work and that his RBC improve and stay steady.
