Help Hendrix Run Again: TPLO Surgery Needed for This Loving Cane Corso

Hendrix is a three-year-old blue Cane Corso with a big heart and a gentle soul. He loves to play, stay close to his mom, and bring comfort on even the hardest days. But now this sweet boy is in pain and urgently needs surgery to get back on his feet.

After what seemed like normal play, Hendrix suddenly began limping on his back leg. At first, his family hoped it was just a minor strain—but a full veterinary exam and X-rays revealed something much more serious: a torn Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) in his right knee.

Without surgery, Hendrix will continue to live with pain and limited mobility. His veterinarian has recommended TPLO surgery, the gold standard procedure to stabilize his knee and allow him to run and play again.

The good news is that his vet is optimistic that Hendrix can make a full recovery after surgery. The challenge is the cost.

Hendrix’s total medical estimate—including surgery, neuter, medications, and follow-up care—is $6,239. Thanks to the generosity of Paws 4 A Cure, Hendrix has already received a $400 grant, but his family still needs to raise $5,000 to move forward with the surgery that will relieve his pain.

For Hendrix’s mom, this situation is especially heartbreaking. As someone living with rheumatoid arthritis at a young age, Hendrix has been more than just a pet—he’s been a source of strength, motivation, and companionship during some very difficult days.
