Heppin is a 3-year-old Sphynx in Portland, OR, who needs $1,000 for Emergency Clinic.

Heppin came into our lives 3 years ago. Her name means Lucky in the Old Norse language because we were not even planning on getting her. Her sister Mayla was the kitten we had picked out and fallen in love with but then Heppin came with her and we fell in love with the both of them. They have an inseparable bond and it was clear from the beginning that they needed to stay together.

Heppin is a total snuggle bug. She loves attention and if you come in the house even just for a quick minute she makes it known that she is the queen of the house. She will come to you and crawl up you for attention. You will be her best friend if you have a snuggly blanket for her to crawl into while being pet by you. She is so sweet and will yell at you if you aren't giving her enough attention.

We have been struggling this year with the loss of my family and having to manage their funeral expenses. I lost my job and am the only person that was working in the house and it would mean the world to have out baby back to normal. We just want her to be ok.

This week we woke up and she was not acting like herself. She was being quiet and did not want to be held and her stomach felt tender to the touch and she did not want to be around any of us nor her sister. She was not wanting food which is entirely abnormal for her and we noticed that she had gotten into some garbage. She is just wanting to be in bed and sleep all day and cry when we touch her.

She is so special to us. She loves to hunt around the house for little bugs and will play with them. She will leap from the ground straight up to catch something out of the air. She is a big talker and will rub her entire body against your face to get you to pay attention to her. When we are having a rough day she is the kitty we go to to love on and get a boost of feel goods.
