Hercules is a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier in Palmyra, NY, who needs $2,000 for Tibial-Plateau Leveling Osteomy .

Hercules saved my life in October of 2015. I was struggling with my mental health and he showed me unconditional love and acceptance. We have overcome so much together and he is truly the most important part of my life. It's always been the two of us and we rely on one another so much. He is my Mister, Bean, Handsome Man and Hercuknees.

Hercules and I sleep in bed together every night even though he has his own bed and two couches to choose from! We spend our days adventuring all over New York State. When we aren't hiking we are couch potatoes enjoying some Netflix. I take him with me everywhere as car rides are his favorite. Reading a book on the porch while he chews his bone in the yard is what fills my heart with bliss.

This surgery is going to be extremely costly and as a 22 year old living on her own, I don't have that kind of savings. I was working 40+ hours a week until COVID-19 came through and messed things up. I do have a CareCredit card I will be using to help.

Hercules grew to be extremely large very quickly and it didn't sit quite right with his knees. He has ruptured his cruciates/CCL in both his legs and will need surgery to correct it. It's heartbreaking to see my dog who loves the outdoors barely get out bed. He is being seen by Walworth Animal Hospital as he's been going there since 8 weeks old.

Hercules is so very special to me as he is so in tune with my emotions. He can sense my bad days and gives me extra attention. He is a big baby and doesn't like thunder, fireworks, motorcycles, loud exhausts and etc. He is skeptical of certain things like the vaccuum or broom! He can't possibly sit on the couch with you, he has to be on you, or in your lap!
