About this campaign

Hermes was found at only a few weeks old on the side of the road. No parent cats or siblings around. He was raised at the Animal Allies shelter in Duluth, Minnesota until he was 10 weeks old and went up for adoption. We adopted him and he quickly became companions with our two older cats. He spends most of his time inside, but in warmer months gets to go outside to his catio and for walks.

Hermes is suffering from a growth defect in one of his hips, which results in the head of his femur not fitting into the joint. It causes him to limp and not be able to move around as freely as he used to. He needs a femoral head osteotomy to reduce his pain.

Hermes is the biggest sweetheart and just is a delight to everyone who meets him. A very friendly little guy who loves to greet everyone who comes into the house (even workers doing repairs!). He's very close with our cat Tilney, often playing together. He's a snuggle bug when the mood strikes him. He also loves to play with puff ball toys and puzzles.

It would take us months if not longer to save up for this procedure in lieu of our other financial responsibilities. Getting Hermes out of pain would be a huge relief, and our cute boy could start living his playful life again.
