About this campaign
Hibby came to me when I was in need of a companion. She’s traveled all across the east coast with me and now we’re in Savannah Georgia. She loves our apartment here and enjoys looking out the window at the cars and people passing by. She loves napping in the sun spots and lately she’s loved to nap under the Christmas tree. I hope to see her napping there again next Christmas.
Hibby has always been a healthy cat. A few days before Christmas, she vomited up everything in her system and has since refused to eat or drink. On Christmas Eve she was taken to an emergency vet and had her blood tested. This revealed something was wrong with her liver. With thousands already invested in treatment of her symptoms, we still don’t know her diagnosis. I can’t give up on her yet.
Hibby has always had a special light in her. Having been with me since college, she’s been a roommate to everyone I’ve lived with as well. She’s convinced quite a few people that maybe cats aren’t as bad as they thought. Hibby is gentle with her love, though sometimes aggressive with her head butts (its her version of a kiss) It’s been hard seeing her lose her spark to this health battle.
Earlier this year, Hurricane Helene dropped a tree on my car and I had to quickly finance a new car. I had to use some of my savings to get back on my feet. I’ve been recovering my savings but it hasn’t been long and I simply don’t have enough for the care Hibby deserves.
