Hildie is my 3-month-old Bernedoodle puppy and she has already become my closest companion. As a Marine Corps combat veteran, she brings comfort, peace, and joy into my daily life. Her gentle personality and unconditional love help keep me grounded, and I truly can’t imagine my days without her.

Hildie was recently diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Sawgrass Veterinary Cardiology determined a Type II PDA with a 4.5 mm shunt that’s already causing heart enlargement. She needs life-saving surgery, scheduled on 8/26/26. The estimate is $8,300–$10,000, and insurance denied coverage.

Hildie is a sweet and playful puppy who loves tug-of-war with rope toys and wrestling around the house. She enjoys curling up for movie nights on the couch and riding in the truck with the windows down.
