HELP HIPPO HEAL

Hippo is a short, sweet, and stout 2-year-old male exotic micro bully, weighing about 35 pounds, who spent his holidays suffering and alone; however, we’ve promised him a brighter future this New Year. Surrendered after enduring severe neglect, Hippo’s feet were painfully infected due to overgrown nails that curled into his paw pads, making it nearly impossible for him to walk.

His heartbreaking condition could have been prevented with simple nail trimming. Hippo’s nails grew so long that they curled and grew into his paw pads, causing severe pain and infections. We rushed Hippo to the animal hospital for relief, where his feet were cleaned, clipped, and treated, and he was vaccinated and neutered. He now needs ongoing medicated foot soaks to continue his healing process. Hippo is not only adorable, he’s loving and loyal.
