About this campaign
We’ve had hondo since he was a baby. He is our baby. My little sister named him when she was a toddler. We have no idea what she was trying to say but she said something that sounded like “my baby hondo” and it stuck.
Hondo loves snuggling in bed with us and will kick at the door if he accidentally gets locked out. He is a stinker and loves to play fight and can have such an attitude (he’s a chihuahua what do you expect lol). He has small plush toys that he loves to snuggle with and loves to run around with (but only on HIS terms) so you never know when he’s going to get a burst of energy to play.
Hondo has learned to press his dinner button to ask for food! They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but hondo learned that at 13 years old!
He has such a big personality for a small boy.
Hondo unfortunately was diagnosed with a tumor on his tongue. This will require surgery to remove the tumor and then will most likely need to be followed up with radiation. He also has a heart murmur that will require additional monitoring during treatment. He will be treated at Texas A&M’s small animal hospital.
Surgery and additional care like this can be up to $10,000.
They don’t take payment plans and require payment upfront. The tumor remained the same size for a while, but has recently increased. I am so scared for my baby and am not ready to lose him.
