Honey is a 5-week-old Maltipoo in Anaheim, CA, who needs $650 for Over Night Stay and Hypoglycemia treatment .

The ER doctor confirmed that our puppy Honey is only 5 weeks old! The breeder lied and about her being 8 weeks w/ shots. As newbies, we believed everything the breeder said and blindly paid for the dog. Emotionally we were in hyper dog loving mode when we met her face to face in the parking lot, so we ignored the harsh reality that this was a mistake. When we got home we find a tick on her ):

I have only been with Honey from Sunday 8/9 afternoon to Monday night 8/10. At first, Honey was very scared of her new home and wanted to sleep in the dark corner of the living room. My gf and I were starting to see just how sick this puppy is and reality started to kick in that we got played. Monday morning 8/10, we took her the Vet, because we were worried about her health, she was low energy.

The ER visit hit me like a brick wall. The total was $1,050! I got laid off due to covid so this was very hard to accept, I charged it on my credit card and transferred my pet to a vet for extended care. She is currently staying at Garden Grove Dog and Pet Hospital.

So life took a 180 on Monday Night (8/10) around 9:30pm. I noticed Honey was having a shortness of breathe and she had a very difficult time walking being too weak to carry her weight. We made the decision to rush her to the Orange County Emergency Pet Clinic for critical medical attention. At midnight, the doctor calls me to tell me that she was hypoglycemic - low on blood sugar.

Honey is extremely smart puppy, she immediately did her business on scented puppy pads on the first night! WOWZA. And she is the worlds biggest cuddled! For the morning after we got her she wagged her tail like crazy when I woke her up with kisses. I felt it deep down, this is my daughter and I felt a unbreakable bond between us. For the one day I had her, she always wanted to be held and kissed.
