About this campaign

I got Honey in the spring of 2022. I had always wanted a cat, and I was in the middle of a terrible breakup, so my mom took me to the shelter to cheer me up. I fell in love with little Honey, who was merely a kitten, because of how loud she purred when I held her. I never thought I would get a kitten, but I immediately knew she had to be mine.

Baby Honey is such a little lover girl. When she was little, she used to love being held like a baby, which is why her full name is Baby Honey. Now, if she likes you, she'll crawl right on your chest and settle in for all the cuddles.

Honey has the weirdest way of holding her tail- it's the first thing everyone comments on when they meet her. Her tail sticks straight up and lays on her back. Even if you try to push it down it'll go right back like a boomerang.

Honey has been very sick the entire past week: vomiting, hiding, avoiding food, glossy eyes, zoning out, etc. We found out she had an intestinal blockage that required emergency surgery. However, her labs were unstable and she was very sick- we weren't sure she was going to make it. Luckily, she is recovering well and should be home in the next couple of days.

As a college student, the veterinary costs are insurmountable. However, since Honey is my emotional support animal, I would do anything to get her healthy again. My cat is everything to me, and I've never loved anything more.
